Don’t get me wrong, the quality and the packaging for the product is superb, but the marketing for it is mediocre at best.

With products like Iron Bow, ISO 7X, Ab Circle Mini, Bodi Rocker, 3 Minute Legs, Ab Doer Twist, AbRocket, and more, this is only a small fish in a ridiculously large pond.

Not to say this product will do well, but fitness devices have slowly been replaced by video workouts like Insanity, P90x, and Richard Simmons.

Either way, look the Flex Shaper up, it’s a great product and you should at least give it a chance!

Japanese Erasers: Blowing Up The Charts

A little birdy came to my attention that Japanese Erasers, like we touched on a while ago have started to sky rocket. Why is that you ask? Well being that the hottestproduct out there right now is a trading collectible, Silly Bandz, these follow right behind with ease. Kids are all over buying these little erasers not only for the collectibility but also because the detail is just so articulate. Desserts, Animals, Fast Food, and Hamsters, they’re all on the top chart for the hottest toys right now.

It only makes perfect sense. In an economy that is at the bottom and slowly starting to ascend, people still are wary to pull out their wallets. But for a product thats only $0.99, how you can you justify not buying it? Parents across the nation are letting their kids by the erasers as ways of rewards. $3.00-5.00/week is all the parents are giving to their kids for allowance and in trade they purchase 3-5 new erasers. That means every month one child/parent will buy 12-20 erasers. Times that by a million people a month out of what’s in the country and you’ve got yourself a darn good product revenue to start.

The era of expensive toys is going to lie dead in the water for quite some time. Why? the economy, people are saving more, and companies across the board aren’t pushing high price items like they used to 6-8 years ago when everyone thought they were making $500,000/year. It’s unfortunate that the people relied on these inflated, imaginary numbers of worth and sale price, but in the end its what we don’t have that makes us prosper, and these erasers is something for us to enjoy without spending our pay checks.

Disney Bandz and Toy Story Bandz: If They Create Them You Will Buy

Well folks, it’s a done deal, we over at As Seen On TV & More have solidified a nice deal with a vendor who carries Disney Bandz and will be selling them on our siteimmediately. What do we think about them? For one the packaging is exactly like Bandz, except the top leaflette is bigger to hold more artwork. Secondly, the artwork itself is top notch. Disney wants nothing but the best, and it’s exactly that. Because of licensing, the Disney will go for $5.95 instead the regular $4.95 price point. Is it worth the price? Sure, why not, it’s only a dollar and you get collectibility out of them. Heck, I was on Amazon last night and saw a couple of them going for $16.99 + Free Shipping. People are gouging the garbage out of these bandz, and to be honest, it’s going to get out of hand unless Bandz orders 100 containers and fulfills orders so scarcity and gouging isn’t a problem. With great products come money, but also greed, and the people that are selling them are definitely showing their colors.

Aside from the personal vendetta of competitors, I wanted to blog about the Disney Bandz solely because it’s a refreshing but predictable move for this type of fad. It was only a matter of time until someone got their hands on these licenses and used the Bandz viral marketing to cash in on the craze.

Disney Bandz & Marvel Bandz: Hold The Train, What? Too Good To Be True?

Disney Silly Bandz, Disney Princess Silly Bandz, Marvel Bandz, Toy Story Bandz, Toy Story 3 Silly Bandz, and we can go on and on and on. With the Silly Bandz craze hitting a strong stride, we at As Seen On TV & More are excited about finding even more styles of bandz that will be coming out right now to the market. These Disney and Marvel Bandz are made by a company called Forever Collectibles, which based out of New Jersey and boy are they mixing up a concoction of sales!

But, a quick question to all those thinkers out there, do they even have a license to do all this? You’d think Disney would cash in on the Silly Bandz craze through their own retail outlet. Are we going to sell the bandz? As soon as we get confirmation, sure. Disney Bandz, especially the Toy Story Bandz should sell hot around the time Toy Story 3 hits theatres. Can you kind of see a global strategy here?

I can’t count how many companies I’ve talked to and found that get these silicone bands from China for .50 cents. If Silly Bandz only knew the amount of intellectual property infringement under the table, they could stop selling them, sue everyone, and be good for life. But, who knows, the patent may of been pending, the property could of been nil and up for grabs. The word tends to get out when blood is in the water, and the sharks will feed.

In the meantime, buy our Silly Bandz! Haha.

Fushigi Ball: Illusion or Pure Magic? You Decide…

With a name like Fushigi, you’d wonder why and how they came up with that sort of name. But, amidst the odd title, this product is something that we definitely should talk about for a minute. First off, we’ve seen this technology before, contact juggling balls have been around for a little while and they’ve been strewed across multiple hobby shop chains and small outlet stores. What makes this gravity ball so special? Well, the marketing really makes the product. I for one will buy one to try it. Am I a consumer tool? You bet your behind I am. Contact juggling is such a sweet spot with me, that I have to get my hands on one of these.

Plenty of other people are buying into this gravity ball/contract juggling remake, and it’s taking to the public the same as when Yo-Yo’s made a rebirth for 6-8 months around 5 years ago. The Fushigi ball is promoted to be the best contact juggling ball out there, and I’m impressed by the quality of it. Contact juggling is purely illusion and makes it seem like the entire piece is hovering. What’s the trick? The inner sphere acts like a giant locked magnet, and the outer skin, completely transparent, makes it look like you’re floating the ball around your hands like magic.
